Completed Creative Critical Reflection

3rd Quarter Submission Feedback

Overall, we received positive feedback from our class. They did give some constructive criticism that our group actually agreed with. They mentioned that we should try and reduce the background noise because it sometimes overpowered the audio of the film. Also, at times the camera was a little shaky and was distracting from the shots. One of the positives they mentioned was the humor. Our film is a comedy so we were happy with the fact that they picked up on the humor. One more critique was that the ending of the film was abrupt. We want to try and re-shoot some footage to make the ending flow a little better.

Our film is a comedy. It is targeting a younger audience and tells the story of two mischievous teen boys. The film is exaggerated but it shows teens making bad decisions. This is a common issue in our society today. There is also some gay humor involved in the film. Although the LGBT community isn't the focus in our film it is a group that is being represented. Also, teenagers are a social group that are being represented in our film. We took inspiration from the film 22 Jump Street in the way that they were pretending to be spies. This took something that could've been serious and made it comedic. Typical comedy films involve adults and usually if they include teenagers it will have something to do with school mischief, for example the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. We decided to go a different route and create a unique situation for our characters. The scenario is a bit ridiculous which adds to the humor of the film.
